Bilingual Enrollment
With Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, and Retirement Plans making up 20% to 30% of most employers' payroll...and with a large portion of many of our employers' workforce speaking Spanish as their primary language, our Benefit Specialist, Sandy Castro, provides Bilingual Open Enrollment meetings to assure that the employer's benefit plans are completely understood by all employees. We find that the Bilingual Open Enrollment process accomplishes a number of objectives :
Promotes Understanding Of Benefit Value :
The tax exempt benefits provided by employer Medical, Dental and Vision plans make the employer's salary compensation more productive for all employees and subsequently reduces the pressure for wage increases. Being sure that all employees understand economic and tax advantages of the employer benefit plans in their primary language increases understanding of the benefit value of the employer's whole compensation package.
Managing Managed Care :
With the cost savings of Managed Care have come procedures for referral to specialists, procedures to follow to receive care, and restrictions on receiving emergency care. Bilingual communication at Open enrollment allows all employees to understand the nuances of Managed Care and helps avoid employee out of pocket costs that result from not understanding the requirements of managed care.
